If you are traveling to London this year, you may be overwhelmed by all of the options that you are faced with — which season you want to travel during, where to stay when you arrive, which landmarks to see and, of course, where to eat.

Luckily, 2017 has already brought forth some remarkable new restaurants in London with expansive and eclectic menus, ranging from classic Italian cuisine and variations of Thai food to revived restaurants that were once staples in the London of times past.

Here is a list of the best new restaurants to check out in London this year:

Dandy Cafe

This popular restaurant went from a food truck to a brick and mortar location in just two years. While Dandy does not have a set cuisine, as its owners are world travelers with eclectic tastes and inspirations, it does feature a menu of delectable seasonal dishes and their own specialty coffee blend. Dandy opened its doors on April 5, 2017, and is located at 20 Newington Green in London.

Under the watchful eye of Seb Holmes, a former chef from Smoking Goat, Farang has been steadily gaining steam and popularity in London. This Thai restaurant has popped up at several temporary locations, including supper clubs and Hawker House, and is currently living out the remainder of their six-month residency at 72 Highbury Park in Highbury.

Farang boasts a menu of grilled flat iron beef steak, cornish mussels in a green curry & coconut broth, jungle curry of fresh cornish dayboat fish, and more. Be sure to visit Farang’s current location before they close their doors on August 3!

This modern Indian restaurant has been hugely successful since its soft launch on December 14, 2016. Since then, Kricket — which is a reincarnation of the Kricket restaurant in Pop Brixton — has received rave reviews, especially regarding its expanded menu. Some of their newest dishes include cornish crab meen moilee, bone marrow & cep kulcha, and other tantalizingly seasoned meals. Kricket is located at 12-14 Denman Street in Soho.

L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele

A branch of the renowned L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Naples, this restaurant has been striving to bring authentic Italian pizza to London’s bustling streets since its grand opening on February 3, 2017. Customers can expect to find the traditional Margherita and Marinara pizzas on their menu, along with two specialty pizzas that they will be rotating out on occasion. L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is located at 125 Newington Church Street.
